Outside of taking client jobs, Karl spends most of his time at Café Verdanté with his cat, Merlin. He has poor caffeine tolerance and prefers drinking tea while making animal-shaped confectionery at the cafe. His favourite type of flowers is known as the “flame of the woods,” which Lewis gifted him when he was younger.

 

Karl is farsighted and wears glasses at the cafe. They are orange-tinted because he does not like the cool atmosphere Winterhaven has. Although his frames make the city look warmer, he finds them too distracting when shooting targets and decides to take them off.
